Customization - Made to Order (JC)

A pair of Diny Lacey Earrings embellished with Swarovski Pearls (Rosaline) and a matching pendant to go with it.

JC requested me to make a pair of this earrings based on the original piece that she showed me. It looked like a peacock, so I named it "Peacock Earrings". It was constructed with artistic wires in three colours (gunmetal, copper and brass) combination.

New Tutorial ~ Heart to Heart Earrings

Hi gals,

Hope everyone's in the pink of health. This post is to let you know that Mei of http://www.wireblissmei.com has just came out with a new tutorial called Heart to Heart Earrings. She's giving a 30% discount and free tutorial (terms and conditions apply).

I was surfing the net on wire jewelry one day a long time ago and 'stumbled' on her blog. It was from her that I got my very first tutorial (Rose, Rose I Love You) and that started to inspire and motivate me to continue my passion for wire jewelry. Since then, I've got most of her tutorials. The technique she uses includes wrapping, weaving and coiling. Her tuts are very easy to follow, complete with step by step well written instructions and clear photographs to guide you to complete the project.

So.... what are you waiting for? Go ahead and check out her blog now.

Have a cheerful day,

~ Emily ~

Eni Oken Coiled Bangle ~ Completed

Phew... finally a heavy load has been lifted. Am talking about the unfinished Eni Oken Coiled bangle which I posted previously in my blog.

I've finally completed the bangle a few days ago but didn't have time to post it until now. I was in a lazy mood last Sunday but having not much to do on a weekend, I decided to embark on my "mission" - to complete this particular bangle no matter what it takes.

As Eni has stated in her tuts, this intricate and extraordinary bangle is not for the faint of heart. I've put long hours into making it, from selecting the beads to the end product. It ook me more than 2 days (with breaks and interruptions in between) to hand coil each of the framed beads. At times I have difficulty coiling b'coz I wrapped the wire frames too close to the particular beads. Although it is made of wire, this bangle is very flexible. As this piece is my prototype, I didn't add the extra beads in between and around the beads while coiling the frames but I can assure you that Eni's bangle is awesome.

BIG & BOLD is the word for this bangle.

Prototype of the Woven Bezel

Well... this is the project I mentioned earlier in my blog. It looks intimidating to me initially but after completing this piece, it is really beautiful and unique woven wire bezel, created by Lisa Barth. Lisa says in her tutorial that this technique is both versatile and elegant and can be adapted to nearly any type of stone or bead and I totally agree with her. =).

But, first of all I've got to get myself many more types of stones and beads. Since I am still in the midst of making this technique perfect, I think I'll go and search for "river stones" (hah!).

Oval Opalite Bead
Oval Turquoise Cabochon

This woven bezel is constructed with anti tarnish gold wires and a metal bead.

Woven Front Pendant

Just wanna share pictures of the Woven Front Pendant which I completed a day earlier. The creator of this pendant is Donna Spadafore (http://www.gailavira.com). This is a very simple pendant using one of the weaving techniques.

I used a rectangle turquoise stone to start with for my prototype as well as artistic wire for the weaving. Need to improve on the coiled wire spirals. I will be commencing on another tutorial (also a pendant) but this coming one looks very intimidating to me, so that's why I've been delaying it until now although I purchased the tutorial last month. Until then.... stay tune.

Rose Quartz Briolette Lacey Pendant

Hi everyone......

I know I've been lacking behind in posting pictures of my creations and am very sorry, ya.

I've just made this pendant using the lace technique. The focal of attention is the Rose Quartz Briolette hanging at the centre, flanked by 2 sterling silver beads. The almost round frame, constructed with anti-tarnish silver artistic wire is surrounded by the wire lace and Czech Fire Polish Faceted "Antique" colour round beads.

ESP65
RM35
Materials: Rose Quartz Pear Shape Briolette, sterling silver beads, Czech fire polish faceted round beads, anti-tarnish silver artistic wire.
Measurement: Overall length of Pendant + Chain: 25cm,
